How We Keep This Waffle House Menu Guide Accurate
Our aim is to educate visitors about what they’re ordering before they come in to a Waffle House store, whereas restaurant websites only list the most recent menu. All menus on this site are updated regularly to ensure that the information is as accurate and useful as possible.
Our team analyzes the menu, nutrition and pricing patterns that are available for public viewing at various U.S. locations. Waffle House restaurants are not chain-owned in many locations, so prices may change based on local operating costs, taxes, and promotions. Therefore, we do not state exact prices for all restaurants, but rather give estimated starting prices.
Calories are listed throughout this guide to assist customers in making choices when comparing menu items. Nutrition may vary if ingredients or portion sizes are different or if the food is customized. The addition of cheese, extra meat, sauces, or toppings will of course add to the calories and final cost.
We periodically check the affected pages for new menu items, seasonal items and price changes, and make the necessary changes. Existing pages are also updated throughout the year to correct out-of-date information and to enhance explanations according to the most commonly asked questions.
Please report anything that appears to be wrong on our contact page. This guide is continually updated and each correction helps to ensure that the information is more accurate for future visitors.
Breakfast at Waffle House: All Day, Any Way You Want It
The vast majority of eaters have a clear distinction between the “breakfast hours” and the rest. Waffle House didn’t pay attention to that rule. The griddle is the same at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., so a Pecan Waffle at midnight is just as normal as a Two Egg Breakfast at sunrise.
The line-up is broken up into a handful of categories, depending on your needs. The All-Star Special™ is a complete sit-down breakfast featuring eggs, waffles, meat and starch in one. For something lighter, try the Egg Breakfast or a plain Biscuit, which also doesn’t come with the sides. The Toddle House Omelets, Sandwiches, and Texas Melts are in the middle: more of a meal than a snack, but not quite a sit down meal. But if it’s hashbrowns you’re looking for, the Hashbrown Bowls make the side dish the main dish.
Each of the items below is accompanied with its own category page, which has the full size, price and calorie breakdown to consider if you’re trying to decide between two items and not going to the window.

Lunch & Dinner Favorites at Waffle House
Waffle House made its fame with breakfast, but the lunch and dinner menus are not afterthoughts. They follow the same “order exactly what you want” mentality, but with heavier, more savory alternatives.
The Angus Beef Burger and Sandwiches are typical lunch fare for diners, while the Classic Dinners are more similar to a home-cooked meal, which makes sense at 6 p.m. after a long day at work. Texas Melts are a meld of a sandwich and a hot plate, but the melted cheese is the star of the show.
The Sides and Beverages Hot & Iced is ideal for those who want to complete a meal instead of just a dish; the Pies section is for those who think dessert is a must.
There are some categories that appear in multiple sections with varying calorie counts, for instance, Hashbrown Bowls. This is not a standard error portion and can differ from one order to another.

What Most First-Time Visitors Order
For those who have never been to a Waffle House, it can be somewhat overwhelming when you first go there because there is so much more than just waffles. When you’re not sure where to begin, it’s typically best to start with one of the restaurant’s most popular combinations.
The All-Star Special is the most comprehensive meal on the menu as it includes eggs, a waffle, breakfast meat and a side. It offers first-time diners a chance to try a few of its signature dishes without having to make their own meal.
For those who prefer a lighter breakfast, a traditional Egg Breakfast or simply a waffle with coffee is an option. Later in the day, Texas Melts and Angus Beef Burgers are popular choices that are more like a lunch or dinner.
One of the most important things to keep in mind about hashbrowns is that they can be done in a variety of different ways. They’re one of the most talked about items on the menu, whether they’re served plain or stuffed with toppings.
For kids or those with less of an appetite, it’s easier to pick individual items than a big combo. By surfing the category pages which are connected throughout this guide, you can compare prices, calories and options before ordering.

Waffle House Beverages Menu
The drink menu at Waffle House isn’t meant to rival the syrup wall of a coffee shop, and that’s the point of it: it’s a short list of drinks to complement the food, not the other way around.
The classic diner pour, hot and straightforward, is what you’ll find at Coffee & Tea. For those who aren’t looking for something soda like, check the Juices & Drinks section; and if you’re ordering for a kid or just want something unsweetened to pair with your waffle, Milk is the final destination. None of these categories are complicated, but pricing and calorie counts do vary by size and type, so look at the whole Beverages Menu page before presuming a $2 coffee and a $2 iced tea are the same price.

Before You Visit a Waffle House
Before you go out, take a quick look at the menu to save time and money. Though Waffle House has a simple menu, there are a few things to be aware of before ordering.
Prices of menu items are not universal. A meal in one state or city may cost slightly more or less than the same order somewhere else. These rates are provided as a guide only and local operating costs, taxes and regional pricing all factor in.
One of the best things about Waffle House is that breakfast is available 24 hours a day. You don’t have to wait until the traditional breakfast hours to enjoy favorites such as waffles, eggs, hashbrowns, and breakfast sandwiches, as you can come in early in the morning, midday, or late at night.
When counting calories, keep in mind that alterations may alter the nutritional value of your meal. Extra toppings, additional cheese, bacon, sausage, chili or larger quantities will add more calories and cost. A few simple changes can make a significant impact.
Certain menu items may only be available for a specific period of time or may only be available in specific areas. Some specials, promotions, and desserts are not available at all locations. Restaurants could also temporarily cease to offer certain foods when ingredients are unavailable.
Note that local sales tax is typically collected at the register, and extras like extra toppings or sides might be a bit more expensive than the main menu item. When ordering take out, availability can also differ from area to area, particularly during peak hours.
Always check the nearest restaurant before visiting to see what the current prices are, what items are in stock and what options are available for ordering.

FEMA EMERGENCY INDICATOR
What Is the Waffle House Index? 🌪
The Waffle House Index is a casual term to describe how restaurants might be impacted by severe weather or emergencies. It is generally described in terms of green, yellow and red operating levels. Never take instructions from restaurant personnel, always listen to official emergency-management personnel.

The restaurant appears to be operating normally with its regular menu. Local conditions may still vary.
“Everything’s normal order the All-Star Special.”
⚠️
● YELLOW STATUS

The restaurant may be open with a limited menu, reduced services or temporary supply issues. Contact the location directly for current information.
“Open but limited area experienced moderate impact.”
🚨
● RED STATUS
Closed – Major Disaster
The restaurant may be closed or unable to operate normally because of local conditions. Restaurant status alone does not confirm the severity of an emergency.
“Closed Waffle House = serious emergency. Follow official safety instructions from local emergency-management authorities and weather services.”
